WEBSITE PLANNING

Create a Practical Website Photography Brief

Plan images around the pages and customer questions they need to support.

Map photos to a purpose

List the pages that need images and what each image should explain: the team, a process, a completed project or the environment customers will visit. Separate documentary photographs from decorative imagery. Do not label stock or generated images as actual work, inventory or staff.

Prepare the shoot list

For each subject, note the orientation, important details and whether the image needs space for nearby text. Include a few wider and closer views where useful. Confirm permission to photograph people, customer property and branded material before the shoot. Avoid exposing addresses, documents or personal details unintentionally in the background.

Plan selection and handoff

Identify who approves the final images and confirms their usage rights. Keep descriptive filenames and a short note explaining what each image shows. Give the developer the original approved files rather than screenshots from social media. Ask for appropriate sizing and meaningful text alternatives during implementation, while avoiding redundant descriptions for purely decorative images.

Apply this to your business

Write down the current situation, the decision you need to make and the person who can confirm the facts. North Front Digital can discuss a scoped review through our relevant service overview. When you request a quote, include your website address if you have one and the customer task you want to improve. Deliverables, access, timing and price are confirmed in writing before work begins.
