WEBSITE PLANNING

Define Post-Launch Website Support

Agree on how launch issues are reported and distinguish fixes to the agreed work from new feature requests.

Name the support scope

Ask what the provider will address after launch, for how long and through which contact route. Distinguish correcting a defect in the agreed deliverable from adding a new page or integration. Do not assume an initial support period includes unlimited ongoing changes.

Make issue reports useful

Include the affected page, the action taken, what happened and what you expected. Describe whether the issue blocks a customer task. Avoid sending passwords or private customer data in a general bug report. If a screenshot contains sensitive information, use an appropriate secure process or a redacted example.

Agree on escalation and ownership

Identify who responds to urgent availability or inquiry failures and what information they need. Use response commitments that are actually in the agreement. Keep longer-term maintenance responsibilities separate from the launch support window so the business knows who handles updates, renewals and future changes after the project closes.

Apply this to your business

Write down the current situation, the decision you need to make and the person who can confirm the facts. North Front Digital can discuss a scoped review through our relevant service overview. When you request a quote, include your website address if you have one and the customer task you want to improve. Deliverables, access, timing and price are confirmed in writing before work begins.
