WEBSITE PLANNING
Assign an Owner to Every Important Website Fact
Use a small content responsibility table to keep prices, hours, services and contact details accurate.
Identify facts that can change
List business hours, phone numbers, service coverage, pricing statements, staff details and booking instructions. For each, record where it appears on the site and who can confirm it. Repeated information needs a reliable source so one page does not contradict another.
Define the update route
Write down how a change reaches the person editing the site and who approves the final wording. For example, the scheduler may confirm appointment hours while the owner approves pricing. Do not assume the developer knows when operations change. Keep the process short enough that the team will actually use it.
Review by consequence
Check customer-critical details more promptly than low-impact background copy. A wrong contact number or outdated booking instruction deserves immediate attention. A routine review can catch inconsistencies, but it does not replace telling the site owner when a fact changes. Keep a dated record of substantive updates without changing public modification dates merely to make old content appear fresh.
Apply this to your business
Write down the current situation, the decision you need to make and the person who can confirm the facts. North Front Digital can discuss a scoped review through our relevant service overview. When you request a quote, include your website address if you have one and the customer task you want to improve. Deliverables, access, timing and price are confirmed in writing before work begins.
