WEBSITE PLANNING
Plan a Content Freeze for Website Launch
Set a short, explicit review boundary so last-minute changes do not undermine the version everyone approved.
Define what is frozen and why
Identify the pages and facts included in final review and the point after which ordinary changes move to a later update. A content freeze is a coordination tool, not permission to leave a critical factual error online. Keep a clear route for urgent corrections such as a wrong phone number or misleading service claim.
Handle changes consistently
Record each late request, its reason and its effect on scope or timing. Ask whether it changes a previously tested customer path. A revised headline may require a simple review, while a new form field can affect validation, delivery and reporting. Do not assume every small-looking edit has the same consequences.
Reconfirm the final version
After accepted changes, state which version is ready and who has approved it. Keep the remaining requests in a follow-up list with owners. This reduces the chance of launching one version while another stakeholder is still reviewing an older preview. The goal is a clear handoff, not an unnecessary approval bureaucracy.
Apply this to your business
Write down the current situation, the decision you need to make and the person who can confirm the facts. North Front Digital can discuss a scoped review through our relevant service overview. When you request a quote, include your website address if you have one and the customer task you want to improve. Deliverables, access, timing and price are confirmed in writing before work begins.
