WEBSITE PLANNING
Prepare an About Page Interview for a Small Business
Gather the details that help a visitor understand who will serve them and why the business is a credible fit.
Ask about the work, not a slogan
Start with who runs the business, what they do personally and which customers they serve. Ask how the business began only if that history helps explain the current service. Avoid filling the page with generic claims about passion or excellence when a concrete description of responsibilities would be clearer.
Verify credentials and claims
Record the exact wording and evidence for experience, qualifications, memberships or awards before using them. Do not combine the experience of several people into a misleading company-age claim. Ask permission before publishing team names or photographs, and keep personal information outside the scope of the page.
Connect the story to the customer
Explain how the team’s approach affects the service process: who answers questions, how work is scoped or what customers should prepare. Use a real photograph when available and authorized. End with the relevant service or contact route. An about page should answer who is behind the business, not repeat the homepage with a different heading.
Apply this to your business
Write down the current situation, the decision you need to make and the person who can confirm the facts. North Front Digital can discuss a scoped review through our relevant service overview. When you request a quote, include your website address if you have one and the customer task you want to improve. Deliverables, access, timing and price are confirmed in writing before work begins.
