WEBSITE PLANNING
Create a Website Outage Contact Plan
Decide who investigates, who communicates and what evidence to collect when the site or a critical feature fails.
Name the affected service
Distinguish the entire website being unavailable from one form, booking tool or page failing. Record the address, time and visible error without including sensitive customer data. A clear description helps the right person investigate and avoids changing unrelated systems.
Assign responsibilities
Keep contacts for the website provider, domain owner and relevant integration owner in a private operations record. Decide who can authorize recovery actions and who updates business staff. Do not promise a resolution time to customers before the cause and available response are understood.
Verify the return to service
Check the customer task that failed after a fix is applied. A homepage loading does not prove that quote requests are accepted or bookings work. Preserve a short incident note with the cause when known, actions taken and follow-up work. Use the incident to improve ownership and monitoring rather than assigning a cause without evidence.
Apply this to your business
Write down the current situation, the decision you need to make and the person who can confirm the facts. North Front Digital can discuss a scoped review through our relevant service overview. When you request a quote, include your website address if you have one and the customer task you want to improve. Deliverables, access, timing and price are confirmed in writing before work begins.
