WEBSITE PLANNING
Help the Right Customers Recognize Your Service
Use clear service scope and a few purposeful questions to improve inquiry quality without making the website difficult to use.
Start before the form
Explain what the service includes, who it is intended for and any meaningful limits. Visitors should not need to submit a request to discover that you do not offer the work they need. State real coverage and availability rather than expanding the language solely to attract a broader audience.
Ask about fit, not everything
Choose questions that help the team decide the next step. For a website project, the existing site, main goal and desired timing may guide a first conversation. Detailed technical access can wait until scope and permissions are agreed. Do not request passwords or sensitive customer files through a general inquiry form.
Use actual inquiries to improve wording
Review a small set of owner-confirmed requests and identify recurring misunderstandings. If people repeatedly ask for a service you do not provide, clarify that boundary on the relevant page. Do not assume every unqualified request means the form needs more fields. Sometimes the offer, service page or button label is the part that needs work.
Apply this to your business
Write down the current situation, the decision you need to make and the person who can confirm the facts. North Front Digital can discuss a scoped review through our relevant service overview. When you request a quote, include your website address if you have one and the customer task you want to improve. Deliverables, access, timing and price are confirmed in writing before work begins.
